The Ways of the Half-awakened

I don’t know if it’s just me or it’s really noticeable that many animebloggers are running up posts depicting the lives of otakus and underlining the distinct behavioural patterns that sets them apart from the general public, or some might refer to as the normal folk. 

Maybe it’s just my writing instincts crying out to be utilised, or it might just be that I would probably like to make use of this space that I have abandoned for quite some time again, or because my co-partner Corruptor is currently MIA and I have been influenced by anime fillers such that I would want to try out one for myself to find out exactly why it’s such a popular solution anime producers take to when they want to salvage a dying plot or one that has lost all sense of direction and is going nowhere. (like the one that actually means a form of whitening agent)

Ok after that long string of randomness, here’s more to come… Or rather it’s just my two cents worth of the Otaku topic coming from a self-proclaimed half-awakened one who is constantly finding his way along the sacred (so much so that it is always misunderstood, labelled and possibly defamed as unorthodox) path that might one day lead to the Otaku free world.

Haruhi Petite Nendo 2

As with Haruhi Petite Nendroid Series 1, I shared this set with fellow partner-in-crime who got the other half of the set. My display cabinet is fast filling up, and this is probably a call for me to stop introducing new members into its premises.

The secret item: Mikuru in Frog Costume. First time I find Mikuru so cute. Haha. (No offense to all Mikuru fanboys and girls out there)

Yuki FTW! The petite nendroids this time are definitely of a better quality than the last, and I personally feel that the fixing up of the petite nendroids is much easier this time comparatively. I was having quite a rough time with the fixing up of the stands. I must really start calculating my losses contributions to this hobby now..

Yokoso Japan!

Hello! Yeah I know no one around here notices my absence anyway, but just in case the wandering visitor wonders, I was actually away in Hokkaido for a week of sightseeing.

Overall, it was quite an interesting trip, visited quite alot of interested places of sightseeing. Perhaps I should just let the pictures speak for themselves.

いっぺん死んで見る？

No I am not going to talk about Jigoku Shoujo although I have just finished watching both season1 and season 2 Futakomori, both which have been long overdued on my anime waiting list. I can understand why Corruptor likes the show and the protagonist (Enma Ai, as depicted up there) so much. Therefore, it will be rather unpleasant if I were to ursurp his position as No.1 Enma Ai fanboy by writing something about his favourite anime before he does. (He is happily enjoying life in Hokkaido now.. To all those who still care for this site, I will definitely threaten him with a 人形 (ningyouaka doll as shown below for the benefit of those who didn’t watch Jigoku) to force an entry out of him.

Gundam 00 Final Ep

As the chapters finally come to a closure (at least for season 1), I thought I might just chip in my two cents worth of how I feel on this series. To be honest, I wasn’t very impressed by the first few episodes but I sort of realised that maybe I was still under the lingering influences of the Seed Series… Admittedly I am not a Gundam fan either nor have I poured through the many classic series (like X, Wing…) that made Gundam reputable, but I guess Gundam 00 re-introduced me into this mecha world.
